Blue Eyes PennyLove

PennyLove was rescued from dire circumstances, and she never forgot it. Her every waking moment, she found ways to let everyone around her know that she remained grateful.

Rescuing PennyLove was a special honor, because her mother, Penny, was one of the first cows we ever rescued. PennyLove was a strong and proud matriarch. She loved the other cows, and was especially close to Gus and Nandi, as well as her son, Jimmy. We were thrilled to be able to rescue Jimmy with her and to provide an opportunity for this beautiful family to stay together. At the end of PennyLove's days, her arthritis often made it difficult for her to stand up from a seated position. She learned to call us with a specific moo, and would work with us patiently as we used a tool called an UpsiDaisy with the tractor to get her standing again.
