Wavy lines and blending colors leave us feeling soothed as we contemplate Lakshman’s deep gaze, conveying the sense of the dreamy reality of a quiet sanctuary at dawn.

Lakshman was rescued by a group of Buddhist Monks. One of the monks had been purchasing milk from a local “humane” farm, and asked about a sign advertising veal for sale. They were shown four baby cows and learned that veal is actually a byproduct of dairy. With this heartbreaking realization, they immediately began to negotiate for their release and successfully convinced the farmer to spare their lives, but he gave them just a few weeks to find them a home. Lakshman, Nanda Sadhu, Diraj, and Rachel arrived at Indraloka in March 2018. Lakshman has grown into a noble and powerful gentle giant. His best friends are Jimmy and Mookie, and he loves to get into whatever trouble he can find with them in between napping and grazing.
