Mongo
Mongo
Feathers gleaming in sunlight under a cornflower blue sky, this portrait truly demonstrates Mongo’s beauty. The texture of his feathers and wattle, inspire a viewer to wonder, what does it feel like to touch his wattle gently, as we might caress our own dog’s silky ears and soft fur. What might it be like, we wonder, if people like Mongo could be free to just be?
Meet our resident Bird Village supervisor, Mongo! He is one of our newer Indraloka family members, having been rescued with two female turkeys, Magnolia and Dahlia, in March of 2021. Even though he is newer to the flock, he fits right in at his new home. On any given day, you can find him wandering around Mojo's Bird Village ensuring that everything is in order. He finds it his most important mission to supervise all activities in the bird village, including feedings, cleanings, chores, and visits. Mongo absolutely LOVES to show off his home and his friends to anyone who comes to visit.
