Soul Samples Hay

One clearly sees the family resemblance between Bapu and Soul, yet this portrait also illustrates Soul’s unique personality. With great fun, Soul plays with his food, almost taunting us to take it from him and run, thereby beginning a rousing goat game of catch.

Soul started life smaller and more sickly than most goats do, but as he approaches his juvenile years, he is blossoming. He is growing big and strong, but still loves affection from his human and nonhuman family. Because keeping weight on is a challenge for Soul, he is pulled aside for extra meals each day, and has really grown to enjoy the special treatment! His favorite meal is spinach salad with sunflower seeds and sliced strawberries and bananas, and his best friend is little Kimaya, a sweet, small, playful goat.
